A dim club, with some colourful lights shining onto the stage. Smooth jazz in the air. Everyone sits, tapping their feet to the rhythm. The air is stale but you can almost smell that tingling atmosphere.
This is what I pictured as pulled a stick of Jazz Musk from its packet.
Well, this scent is unique that’s for sure! The unburnt stick smells like a mix between Cola, Aniseed and Shoe polish (Yes you read that correctly). An interesting mix. Refreshingly different.
Now I’ve let the stick burn for five minutes or so let’s see if the scent has evolved.
The unburnt scent smells no different to the burnt scent other than the volume. Thankfully the punchy shoe polish like notes have calmed down. Now in its place the aniseed is left to perform and amongst the plumes of smoke is those sparks of cola.
As per usual Kuumba have managed to take an idea and transform it into a scent. There is so much atmosphere in this scent, having been to Jazz bars on Bourbon St, New Orleans I am quite familiar with this scent.
It is pleasant and both as much relaxing as it is uplifting. A real mood changer.
One of my biggest pleasures with incense is discovering a scent like no other. Jazz Musk, you are definitely a unique burn my friend. Beautiful.
Jazz Musk was one of 13 packets of incense kindly provided by Urban Industry.
Scent: Aniseed and Cola.
