After reviewing the Ka-Fuh Hinoki I thought it would be relevant to move onto Ka-Fuh Aqua. Sadly, these are the only 2 boxes I have from the range but look forward to expanding in the future.
As you can see the packaging has remained consistent the only difference you are going to see here is the calming hue of blues used.
Yet again there isn't any sign of smoke. Completely smokeless. Which leads me onto something I forgot to mention on the Hinoki review. It’s clear that a byproduct of not having a bamboo core is that the scent is very subtle. The gentlest I've ever smelt in fact.
Due to its lack of strength the Ka-Fuh range is best enjoyed alone or within a confined space. These scents will not be filling a room anytime soon but it’s clear this effect is intentional.
Aqua is one of the most relaxing scents I've ever smelt. It smells like clean laundry blowing in the wind on a nice summers day. I close my eyes and imagine myself sat on a porch with an ice cold glass of lemonade rocking in a rocking chair just lapping up the beautiful scent of Aqua.
Referring to the Nippon Kodo website the ingredients featured in this incense are Cyclamen and Primrose. Both of which are plants if you weren’t aware. I knew there was floral notes in the air but couldn’t put my finger on what flowers in particular.
I prefer this scent to Hinoki but that’s just my personal preference. I also know this scent is very popular amongst Incense Corner members. I can see why. There is nothing to dislike about it, it’s such an innocent, gentle cloud of cleanliness.
